DURABLE PRINTING PROCESS MEDICAL DUVETS

For the printing of the Easydeck medical duvets the durable technique transfer print is used. The sustainable transfer paper with the print of the customer’s choice is placed on the polyester fabric. The polyester is heated, which causes the fibre to open up and the ink from the print gets into the fibre. By cooling down the polyester, the fibre closes and the colour remains in it. Even after frequent washing and drying at a high temperature!

DURABLE PRODUCTION PROCESS TRANSFER PAPER

The transfer paper is 100% durable:

Ink:

  • Our supplier uses dyes that are completely free of harmful substances and contain no allergens.
  • The ink used in the production process is recycled.

Paper:

  • The transfer paper is FSC certified, which means that the wood fibres originate from a sustainably managed forest.
  • The paper is also ZDHC compliant (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), which means that there are no emissions of hazardous substances during production.
  • The paper used can be recycled or reused as gift paper.

Production:

  • No water is used in the printing process, so no wastewater is generated.
  • Printing is done with ethanol based on solvent inks. Ethanol is a completely natural, renewable substance.
  • The printing process is energy efficient due to the use of solvents in the production process. It takes 80% less energy to dry the paper than conventional textile printing systems.

Cylinders:

  • Printing cylinders are reused for the production of new designs.

Printing:

  • Not only is the process of producing the transfer paper environmentally friendly. The transfer of the design from the paper to the fabric is also a completely clean and dry process, where no air or water contamination is generated.

Textiles:

  • Transferprint is also applicable to recycled polyester.
  • Textiles printed with transferprint can be recycled.

Certifications:

  • Transfer paper is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means that it is free of harmful substances that can cause skin irritation.
